During the summer and into the fall of 2008, I was invited to work with a team including Dr. Lisa Heaton, Annette Irvin, Diane Downard and Yvonne Skoretz on a presentation for the West Virginia Higher Education Technology Conference. Our presentation was entitled “Using Multimedia to Enhance Instruction.” It was selected as a poster session at the conference.
My section of the presentation was an introduction to using podcasts in class. I handed out a brochure on podcasts including what they are and how they can be useful to teachers. I also demonstrated this by uploading a podcast I had created onto my iPod for conference attendees. They were able to experience what a podcast might be like as a student.
